The Appeal
Amongst the most curious of Europe's love of the microcar, the Veloto was a distinctive, squared-off little thing that looked bizarrely close to a golf cart and had perhaps half the horsepower. This versatile little vehicle was available to any budding driver without a licence, and could be driven in the usual way - with its 49cc twin-stroke engine - or pedalled like a Rosalie.
This is a remarkable 1977 example, with its distinctive plastic bodywork fully intact and the diminutive little twin-stroke still chattering as ever it was, and the bare bones cabin still in good condition. It's incredibly rare you'll come across one of these unusual little vehicles and we're sure it'll attract plenty of intrigued glances.

✓ We also check whether vehicles are recorded as being written off as part of an insurance total loss claim at the time an advert is placed on Car & Classic and we helpfully provide write-off category labels (Cat C/D/S/N) for your assistance. However, the presence or absence of a label does not guarantee the vehicle’s status and it is always worthwhile carrying out your own full vehicle history check before making an offer on a vehicle.
