The Appeal
While Britain had led the way in high-performance motorcycles during the immediate post-war years, by the late 1960s, Japanese manufacturers were well on their way to world domination. The Suzuki GT750 showcased the very best of Japanese engineering. Nicknamed the “Kettle” in the UK, it’s three-cylinder water-cooled two-stroke engine was highly unusual at the time and proved immensely capable. At the time, few bikes were half as quick, and to sweeten the deal, Suzuki launched a wide range of oh-so-’70s colours to tempt buyers.
This 1976 example is in superb condition following a recent comprehensive restoration carried out by the vendor over a ten-month period. It looks fabulous and the vendor informs us that that it’s equally enjoyable to ride now that it’s rebuilt mechanicals have been carefully run-in. Benefitting from MOT and road tax exemption, this bike is ready to enjoy.
