The Appeal
Flaring the arches of the Silver Shadow was a subtle touch, but one that cleverly updated the aesthetics of Rolls-Royce’s original chrome bumper saloon. These later cars, built from 1974, are considered particularly desirable.
Here is one of the best. It is an exceptionally low mileage car - just 47,000 documented miles - that comes to market with a vast history file dating back to the car’s earliest days. It shows regular servicing right up to May 2024, all by well regarded specialists.
The car was comprehensively restored in 1996, including a full respray in fetching Silver Mink. Sparing use and the care of its handful of keepers means the car remains in very good order throughout. The smart mid-blue leather interior is equally impressive.
It is a mark of the fastidious approach of recent keepers that the car has been regularly MOT’d, despite this no longer being a legal requirement. The current test runs to May 2025 with no advisories.
If you’re in the market for a Silver Shadow, you have a good choice. This car, however, rises above the rest with its condition, specification and remarkable history records.
