The Appeal
Perhaps Lincoln’s most renowned creation, the Continental offers Ford’s signature, dependable mechanics, beautifully packaged with sublime coachwork, luxurious comforts, and top-of-the-line tech for its era. Presented today is a fourth-generation Continental, identifiable by its updated front-end styling, luxurious interior design options, and many shared touches with the legendary Ford Thunderbird.
The Mark IV also saw the introduction of the “Designer Series”, offering Continentals with an extra touch, courtesy of Cartier, Pucci, Bill Blass, and Givenchy. This is of course one of the more desirable Cartier editions, distinguishable by its Dove Grey paintwork, red and white pinstriping, and subtle interior touches.
Likely benefitting from considerable exterior refurbishment in the not-too-distant past, this example stands in superb condition today, with an equally impressive interior to match. In addition to being a shining example of Cartier’s chosen styling, this Mark IV Continental boasts excellent mechanical health, with plenty of history, and documentation to show.
If you’re in the market for a superbly comfortable show car, classy weekend toy or exquisite designer collection piece, very few cars in today’s market will touch this beautiful 1976 Lincoln Continental Cartier Edition.
