The Appeal

The Series II Li was the most commercially successful Lambretta ever built, and has become one of the biggest pop-culture symbols in motoring, particularly with the modernist movement enjoying a steady revival almost every decade. These squat, attractive little scooters were very mechanically similar to their predecessor and were purposefully built so even a layman could get their heads around them.

This vintage example has been restored by a team of experts, who have upgraded the 150cc engine to 200cc, and have offered it a stunning matte black livery - picked out with glossy accents that perfectly enhance the scooter's distinctive character. Everything has been thoroughly overhauled and inspected, and the scooter is supplied complete with a free 3-months platinum warranty with the company responsible for the restoration.

The vendor says:

"The Lambretta S2 is relatively lightweight, making it very nimble and easy to manoeuvre through traffic or around tight corners. The low centre of gravity helps give it a stable and fun ride.

A completely rebuilt engine (with ALL parts replaced) freshly tuned, providing a smooth, responsive ride that is a joy to experience. As this beautiful scooter has a newly rebuilt engine it will need breaking in for at least 100 miles at a maximum speed of 40mph. And a good tip; do mix plenty of oil in with the petrol during this breaking-in time as it helps to make a
healthy, happy engine.

What you are buying here is peace of mind: a clean, risk-free scooter, ready to ride! Restored by Vintage Metals' own in-house team of experts with over 40+ years of experience. These experts are grass root scooterists who themselves own their own private collections and attend many UK and international rallies. Every part of the scooter is thoroughly checked during the rebuild so that only the best makes it through to become a Vintage Metals Original Cool."
