The Trophy
The ‘Cavallino Rampante’ or ‘Prancing Horse’ is nothing short of iconic. Even the uninitiated immediately recognise it as the symbol of Ferrari. Company founder Enzo borrowed the motif from WWI Italian fighter pilot Francesco Baracca and it’s become synonymous with Maranello ever since.
Car & Classic is delighted to offer this fabulous trophy - a genuine Ferrari item manufactured in 1976 in Maranello, Italy. Our research suggests that these trophies were sometimes awarded to Ferrari dealerships; the owner of this example says their vendor acquired it at the Imola fair during the 1990s.
The trophy exhibits some fine scratches but no notable wear or any damage the vendor is aware of. It would look fantastic next to your Ferrari(s) in your garage or ”man cave”. These trophies are very collectable, and it’s easy to see why.
