The Plus

The 02 Series is undoubtedly one of the pillars of BMW's modern success. Torquey and charismatic, these refined executive saloons were far more fun to drive than their designers had imagined. Demand was consistently high, and in 1975 BMW was clever enough to launch an economical option capable of running on low-octane fuels: the 1502.

Sacrificing very little of its character, the 1502 still offered a fun, spirited drive - and became the staple of the 02 range, continuing in production two years after its comrades were replaced by the new E21s. Today, it's almost synonymous with an evocative mid-1970s classic. How can you resist something so emblematic of the 70s, from the roof to the tyres?

This recently restored example, with a bright new paint job after 25 years in dry storage, represents a superb opportunity not to be missed!
