The Appeal
Pininfarina’s styling of the original ‘boat tail’ Spider proved controversial, resulting in the ‘kamm tail’ Series 2. The revision proved so enduring that it remained in production for 13 years and underpinned the car’s styling for another 10 years after that.
The Veloce got the revvy 130bhp 2litre version of Alfa’s superlative twin cam engine. The result was arguably one of the most entertaining and characterful cars of its era, qualities that have made the car enduringly popular with enthusiasts. RHD examples were available from the factory up to 1977.
It is rare to find a project Series 2 Veloce like this one, where the buyer can inject their own requirements onto the finished project. It is complete and much of the work has already been done so it is the perfect point to pick it up.
