THE APPEAL
The Triumph Stag was Britain's answer to the Mercedes-Benz SL, a crisply styled cruiser with a V8 heart. Alongside the Italian-influenced style and burbling motor it offered a characterful wood-lined interior and was a full 2+2.
Of course, things didn't quite work out. But today, nearly 50 years on from its demise, any surviving Stag is likely to be very well sorted, testament to the active owners club that supports the cars and their owners.
The Mk2 Stag got some light styling enhancements, most notable pretty alloy wheels. This 1975 example is one of those, a much-loved example that is well known in Club circles. Attentive owners have continued to MOT it, even though this is no longer a legal requirement, and it comes with cover to July 2024 with no advisories. That provides the independent reassurance any buyer will surely value when considering this great example of a wonderful British classic.

SUMMARY
The Stag didn't quite succeed when new but has found its natural home among classic car enthusiasts who value its unique combination of V8 burble, four-seater practicality and Triumph delicacy. Stand-out colours like the orange of this car are particularly valued.
This Stag presents as an honest example that you can jump in and use and enjoy. There is scope to improve as you do so.
