The Appeal

One of the world’s most ubiquitous classics - the MG B first hit the market in 1962, and practically set the world on fire. It was a golden age for the British roadster, and these best-selling cars managed to shift over half a million during their 18-year run. Characterful, stylish and simply loaded with fun, they remain one of Britain’s most famous cars.
This example, picked out in the ever-enduring British Racing Green, comes to us in fine order, and is a highly usable example that’s clamouring to hit the road with its lucky new owner.

The Exterior

  • Paintwork in good order with only light signs of use
  • Chromework creates a fabulous contrast and carries only slight patina
  • The glasswork and lenses all look in good order
  • The MG branding is all present and correct

The Mechanics

  • 1.8L B-Series I4 powerplant
  • 4-speed manual transmission
  • Engine bay looks in good order with MG branding present and correct
  • Some light, isolated areas of surface corrosion
  • The vendor notes that the car has never given trouble during his 7-year ownership
  • The car is reportedly holding a good oil pressure with no leaks or issues
  • The engine bay still has the car’s original plates and stickers on display
  • Ultimately this looks like a superb, highly original example
