When we think of a mid-size Mercedes-Benz saloon, the W123 and W124 models are usually the ones that spring to mind. However, the ancestor of the Mercedes three-box saloon was Paul Bracq's W114/W115, which was on the market for eight years before the advent of the W123 in 1976.
This 1975 240 D (W115.117) underwent a major restoration in 2021 and has been in dry storage ever since, preventing any corrosion or deterioration. It has had only three previous registered owners, the first being a Spanish collector who carried out the interior restoration in his own possession. Now registered in France, the car is accompanied by an extensive file of invoices and documents, as well as its MOT valid until 31 January 2029.
