The Appeal
Any camper with a nickname is a camper you know has been loved and cared for. Say hello to Lola.
Professionally restored in stand-out yellow and white, with a well fitted cabin, Lola is in very good condition indeed. Where some campers favour the modified approach, this 1974 1.6L T2 is pleasingly standard, right down to the steel wheels with their chrome hub caps and embellishers.
The history file matches the condition, a thick set of invoices, receipts and paperwork attesting to the annual servicing and maintenance regime of the current long-term keeper. It has covered just 30 miles since the last service and the clutch was replaced less than 12 months ago.
It is a mark of the current keeper’s fastidiousness that Lola has been treated to an annual MOT test, even though - as a Historic Vehicle - this is not a legal requirement. The test runs to November.
As bright and smile-inducing as any camper should be, Lola would be a fantastic addition to any holiday or weekend getaway.
