The Appeal
Despite being designed by the legendary German coachbuilders and designers Karmann, the 1974 Triumph TR6 oozes with British charm and a substantial dose of '70s flair, from the distinctive wheel arches to the deep-dish wheels that set it apart from its contemporaries the design of the TR6 looks as good today as when it launched. With the majority of TR6 models being exported, particularly to the U.S., finding one this good in the UK presents a rare opportunity.
The experience of owning this particular TR6 is accentuated by its excellent condition, the result of an extensive restoration effort. Every inch of this car invites you to take the wheel, from its meticulously maintained black interior to its lustrous blue exterior.
The straight-six 2.5L engine not only performs admirably but sounds fantastic. The car drives as well as you would expect given the exterior condition, which is to say very well indeed. THanks to an extensive overhaul of both the aesthetics and mechanical components this TR6 is a car that delivers on every level and is one not to be missed.
