The Appeal
For modern classic car buyers, there really is nothing quite like a Stag. The R107 runs it close, but even Stuttgart’s finest doesn’t have four seats, proper wood trim and sleek Latinate styling. And that’s all before we get to the Stag’s signature feature - its burbly V8.
Good examples make great warm weather tourers, particularly when equipped, as here, with the relaxing auto box. This car will shortly be appearing at a cinema near you because it was the lead car in a recent film - we can’t reveal the details, but we’re told it’s high profile stuff.
Prior to filming, the car was in dry storage for 10 years, which explains the smart condition following a restoration and colour change in the late 1990s. The recommissioning process in 2025 included a new engine, replacement steering rack, brakes overhaul and new alloy wheels.
Classically finished in British Racing Green with a matching hard top, this is a very tidy and usable Stag with the promise of stardom on the horizon.
