The Appeal
Here is a timely reminder of just why the Silver Shadow became one of Rolls-Royce’s most enduring and popular models. Finished in beautiful burgundy metallic, it is an exceptionally low mileage car - under 21,000 miles from new - that retains the neat details that make ‘chrome bumper’ first generation versions stand out.
This car’s four keepers from new - the last one from 1999 to early 2024 - have clearly cherished it. The condition inside and out is impressive, the car carrying a light level of patination to add character to its originality. The history file verifies the low mileage. Maintenance highlights include a £4,900 brake overhaul in 2021 and full service in August 2024.
The current keeper, who operates a small classic car collection, has usefully subjected this MOT-exempt car to a full MOT inspection so that the buyer has transparency on the condition. The test runs to March 2025 and contains no advisories.
This is a collector-quality example of one of Crewe’s most important cars.
