The Plus
Designed by the late Marcello Gandini, the man behind the Miura, Espada, Countach and Diablo, the Lamborghini Urraco was, unsurprisingly, an absolutely striking piece of design. With a cross-mounted V8 in a mid-rear position and a five-speed manual gearbox, its performance was equally impressive. The Uracco was in direct competition with the Ferrari Dino and the Maserati Merak, and only 791 examples were built.
This 1974 P250 S model has undergone a four-year service and has been impeccably maintained by the vendor. It is a rare example on the French market and is remarkably original. We are advised that it has only had four registered owners, and the car is accompanied by an extensive collection of documents. An independent inspection was carried out in 2020 and the Contrôle Technique is valid until October 2024.
The second registered owner drove it for two years and decided to repaint it, after which the car was completely dismantled but never reassembled for six years at the coachbuilder's.
The third registered owner bought the car in 2004 and spent four years restoring it to roadworthy condition.
Everything was rebuilt, including the engine, transmission, upholstery and electrics
The history file contains a large number of photos and invoices relating to the work.
The Urraco made its return to the road at the 2008 Le Mans Classic, where it is said to have performed very well, and has since been used frequently on the back roads of the Quercy region.
The vehicle was serviced between 2004 and 2008, as indicated in the expert's report of 2020 and confirmed by a series of invoices.
Since the rebuild, the car has been carefully maintained by a professional mechanic.

Having undergone a complete overhaul, this Urraco looks immaculate, remaining remarkably original for its age. This example is made exceptionally rare by the fact that it has a different engine cover in place of a louvered rear window. This was only done for Urracos on the French market to meet registration requirements. Despite the older paintwork, the bodywork still looks good, as does the largely original interior, which has been sensitively reworked only where absolutely necessary.
Since the rebuild, regular servicing has kept the Lamborghini in good working order.
We are informed that the battery has recently been replaced, the engine has been tuned and the braking system has been serviced.
The vendor reports that it starts, runs and drives beautifully and is "a pleasure to drive".
Offering 217bhp with a 2.5-litre capacity, the mid-mounted V8 delivers enough performance to make this Urraco a pleasure to drive. After extensive mechanical work and regular servicing in recent years, the vendor reports that this Lamborghini is a very fit example, driving very well and with no known problems.

If an auction vehicle doesn't sell, it may be converted into a “Make an offer” listing. This will retain all of the details of the auction listing but replace the bidding functionality with an offering system whereby potential buyers can make an offer on the vehicle. To take the hassle out of the whole process and to prevent any unnecessary squabbling we'll automatically decline anything less than 70% of the asking price so only offers that are worth considering will be accepted. Make an offer listings include a “Make an offer” button. Simply click on this and enter the amount you’d like to offer and the seller will either accept, decline or counter. Easy peasy. If you don’t have a Car & Classic account with a registered bank card you’ll be prompted to set one up at this point.
If your offer is accepted, you’ll be charged a service fee. The amount depends on the cost of the vehicle and is an additional cost on top of the offer amount. Starting from as little as £/€300, it covers the cost of our various auction and escrow services, but rest assured, we're not in the woollen eyewear business and so the exact amount is always displayed upfront before you place your bid. You will only be charged if your offer is accepted.
The service fee is a charge in addition to any accepted offer amount that varies depending on the cost of the vehicle. Starting from as little as £/€300, the exact fee is clearly displayed upfront before any offer is placed so you always know exactly how much you'll be charged. It covers the cost of our various auction and escrow services and allows us to continue to provide a secure and professional platform from which to transact safely.
If you've ever squeezed a lemon then this'll be a doddle. Firstly you'll need to be logged in to your Car & Classic account and have added a valid payment card to your profile. Once these steps have been completed you can then make an offer by clicking on the "Make an offer" button on the listing page and entering your offer amount before clicking on the “Submit Offer” button underneath.
