Appeal
It's impossible to downplay the impact of the DS. These incredible atomic-age vehicles are among the most ambitious cars ever built - packed with technology that seemed almost otherworldly at the time and still impresses today. The remarkable agility of the DS, thanks to its innovative suspension, has made it a success in motorsport, the preferred choice of discerning drivers and unrivalled comfort for passengers in search of refinement.
The DS's only weak point was its engine. While the car was packed with innovations, the rural four-cylinder engine was somewhat outdated from the outset, and by the end of production it seemed almost primitive compared to the technological advances surrounding it.
To remedy this, later versions of the car introduced electronic fuel injection, culminating in the 141bhp D23 with electronic fuel injection - the most powerful production version in the entire DS range. These models are among the most sought-after, especially in the luxurious Pallas finish.
This stunning example fits that description perfectly - presented in elegant livery and in superb condition, ready to hit the road.
