Modifying 105-series Alfa Romeos is a hugely popular practice these days, with an abundance of upgraded parts and skilled specialists on hand to get the best out of these exceptional little sports cars. Take this Giulia Super saloon, for example.
This 1974 model underwent a complete restoration and modification by a former Alfa Romeo garage owner, transforming it from a Giulia Nuova Super with a 1.3-litre engine into a Giulia Super with a powerful 2.0-litre engine and modern electronic ignition. It also now features Koni adjustable suspension and a host of other choice mechanical upgrades.
Various cosmetic changes have been made to give it the appearance of a Giulia Super, along with some period styling enhancements. The front seats have been replaced with retro-looking bucket seats, perfect for sporty driving, and a MOMO sports steering wheel has recently been fitted. Externally, the car has been elegantly personalised with the removal of the bumpers, the addition of Alfaholics GTA alloy wheels and Quadrifoglio Verde motifs visible on the front wings.
If you like Alfa restomods - and why not? This tastefully upgraded Giulia saloon offers the perfect balance between period charm and improved handling.
