The Appeal
Like jamming a bigger, better V8 into a Mustang, Charger, or Camaro, this much-improved Triumph Stag is a very British take on the noble art of hot-rodding.
This early MkII Stag now boasts a rebuilt example of the well-known and highly tuneable 3.5-litre Rover V8 in place of Triumph's own 3.0-litre lump. Retaining the standard automatic gearbox (also rebuilt) and power steering, this car proves an effortless cruiser, more than capable of keeping pace with today's traffic.
Following an extensive professional restoration ten years ago, which continues to hold up well, this Stag is a mightily tempting proposition. Robsport International recently performed a full service and extensive recommissioning, making it ready for its next keeper.
The MOT is advisory-free and runs until February 2025.
