The Appeal
Whether you’re here for the V8 burble or those sleek Michelotti Italianate lines, there is something altogether compelling about a Stag. Even the name is appealing.
With its choice of hard top and soft top and wood-lined, four seat cabin, Triumph’s big GT convertible appeals to the head and the heart.
Restored over the last 20 years at a cost exceeding £50,000, this is a very good example of an understandably popular classic. The work included an engine rebuild and bare metal respray and the car retains all the quality of that work. More recently the vendor has replaced the blue soft top - the work was done by Aldridge Trimming - and refurbished hard top.
Annual MOTs since 2006 provide independent confirmation of the condition. The car is sold with a current MOT, although it is of course usefully MOT, tax and ULEZ exempt.
With spring around the corner and summer threatening its arrival, this is a great time to indulge in a great example of one of Britain’s loveliest convertibles.
