Highlights
- A fabulous opportunity to acquire an example of the highly desirable F Series 911 Targa
- Restored shell ready to refit with an engine, gearbox and interior
- Located in the Netherlands on a American title Because this car does not have EU import documents.
The Appeal
The American market has always been very important to Porsche. So when heightened US safety requirements outlawed many conventional cabriolets, the Targa project aimed to provide that much-loved open air experience in compliance with new safety regulations. Dubbed the ‘safety cabriolet’, the 911 Targa retained fixed roof sections as part of the bodyshell, while allowing the central and rear panels to be removed. It proved an immense success and remains part of the 911 range to this day.
Here we have a compelling project, which when completed, will be a fine example of a 1973 F Series Targa. Offered as a rolling restored shell on Fuchs alloy wheels, this Porsche will require an engine, gearbox and full interior to be completed. A great deal of work has already been completed so its next owner won't have to worry about corrosion repair, prep and paintwork. If you fancy the idea of building your very own ‘70s 911 Targa, this is a fabulous starting point.
