The Appeal
This fabulous late 911T is in great all-round condition, having been extensively renovated and restored to a very nice and useable, rather than concourse, condition that would look great as part of any collection or in your garage.
The simple lines and design of the 911 are very evident in this model, and it being one of the last first generation 911’s is bound to send some hearts racing and attract a lot of keen interest.B23JrqdYobeykZ9AWu3XFQNEbtmN2YPohWaP9pHy.jpeg764.38 KB
The History and Paperwork
• First registered in July 1973
• Believed to have been extensively restored in around 2007 • Fully re-commissioned, with engine, suspension and brakes overhaul
• Current owner bought in 2016 from classic Porsche Specialist
• 2 original sets of keys
• Spare wheel and tools
• V5c photocopy present; the vendor has applied for a new V5c from the DVLA
The Light Yellow paintwork, re-sprayed during its renovation, is still looking good with only an unfortunate scratch on the rear left wing detracting slightly from its overall excellent presentation.
All the panels and bodywork are straight and true, with great shut lines and a nicely snug-fitting new Targa roof.
The Fuchs wheels are all in great shape and are all shod with good tyres, with the brushed stainless-steel finish of the Targa hoop really completing the whole classic 911 look.YeNGxw0nZICSohawUiCFtOUqBmvNRM3WdCQ0QIC4.jpeg950.15 KB
The Mechanics
• 2.4 litre air-cooled engine
• Five speed manual gearbox
• Fully serviced and ready to enjoy
The last full service was carried out in 2020 in anticipation of an aborted rally (due to covid) in France with the vendors Guernsey Old car club, and the car has done very little mileage since that time. More recently, the car has been checked over and road tested as per the two-page inspection report found in the gallery, which we are happy to say, it passed with flying colours.
Part of a larger collection of vintage Porsche’s the car has spent some time on the Chanel Islands with its present owner but is now back and ready for a reluctant sale due to some rationalisation of the car collection.
It’s hard to think of a more iconic classic sports car than the Porsche 911, and this is a great opportunity for someone looking for that special example of an early 911.
