The Appeal

There will be other great Lancias, but none like the 2000HF. It was the last car entirely designed and developed by the brand, a brilliant farewell to Lancia's independent era.

Fiat didn't want to produce this vehicle, but fortunately Lancia imposed its vision. Pininfarina evolved the Flavia's elegant design into a sharper, more modern line. They also took care of production, with only 1,229 examples of the high-performance HF version leaving their Turin workshops.

This car looks stunning in dark blue, an impression reinforced by a repaint in 2022. This was part of a €15,000 restoration that also included a new clutch, timing chain, cylinder head, piston rings, structural welds and interior refurbishment.

With its ingenious 130 bhp 2L boxer engine, 5-speed manual gearbox and agile handling, this Lancia offers performance to match its design. Thanks to recent mechanical repairs, it's ready to be used as an everyday car or to be preserved for sunny outings on winding roads. Either way, this is a remarkable example of a rare and sought-after classic, sold with a recent service.

The Condition

• Injected HF model from the last years of production, with revised cosmetics

In the face of stiff competition, the 2000HF is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful Lancias ever produced. Its elegant dark blue colour gives it great class. The paintwork, redone in 2022, is of a good standard and remains well preserved, with only a few minor imperfections visible in the photos. The magnificent Cromodora wheels are another aesthetic highlight.

The interior, reminiscent of a Ferrari 330GT, retains its factory options such as air conditioning and electric windows. Restored in 2022, it is beautifully crafted in beige leatherette to match the bodywork.

One of the main attractions of this car is its particularly ingenious 2L Lancia 'boxer' engine. Late models like this one benefit from improved Bosch fuel injection, delivering a robust 130 bhp. The 5-speed reverse gearbox ensures a dynamic and engaging drive, ideal for everyday use, especially as it can easily keep up with the pace of modern traffic.

In 2022, this Lancia received a complete mechanical overhaul at a cost of €15,000. The work carried out included replacement of the clutch, timing chain, piston rings and cylinder head gasket. The rear brakes were replaced in March 2024. Having covered only a few kilometres since then, it is in excellent mechanical health and should offer great reliability to its next owner.
