1972 Rover P5B Coupe

Highlights

  • Only six registered keepers
  • Current enthusiast keeper since 1997
  • Solid and presentable 3.5L Coupe
  • Scope to improve or simply use and enjoy
  • Majestic V8 British saloon

The Appeal

The P5B is reminiscent of a very particular time in British social history. Beloved of chauffeur-driven captains of industry and doyen of Downing Street, these cars are magisterial in a way that few saloons before or since have quite managed.
No wonder then that they have such a following. By adding Buick’s small block V8 and cleverly lowering the rear window, Rover invented the sporting ‘coupe saloon’ and these cars are particularly in demand.
This Coupe has just six registered keepers in its 52 years, the current one since 1997. Painted white with a contrasting light blue metallic roof - which emphasises the Coupe’s sleek lines - this car is in solid and presentable condition. Yes, there is scope to improve, but it could be done ‘as you go’ whilst enjoying that burbling V8 and leather-lined cabin.
