1972 MGB Roadster

Highlights

  • Balanced 1,950cc engine with Stage 2 unleaded head
  • High specification car in good order
  • Rebuilt by the current keeper at equivalent cost of £45,000
  • Recently driven over 4,000 miles through France and Italy
  • Well kept car with desirable mechanical upgrades

The Appeal

The joy of the MGB scene is that owners have easy access to a host of high quality upgrades to improve their cars. Cars like this are the result, seemingly standard roadsters that run and drive far better than when they left the Abingdon works.
This car was extensively restored by the seller 12 years ago at an equivalent cost now of £45,000. The work included a rust-free shell, cabin retrim and raft of mechanical improvements. It now runs a balanced 1,950cc engine with Stage 2 unleaded head. There is a stainless steel exhaust, K&N filters, electronic ignition and revised front suspension.
It has been used and enjoyed - recently returning from a 4,000 mile European trip - but remains in very good order outside and in. A recent service and carburettor overhaul mean that it arrives in the market in great running order.
