The Appeal
Since the 1920’s, the MG Midget name has been synonymous with small, affordable and above all, fun, British sports cars.
From 1961 to 1979, the Midget was refined and engines increased from 1098cc through to the later 1493cc, with the 1275 A-Series being widely accepted as the most desirable option.
Restored in 2011, this little cracker still looks absolutely gorgeous in it’s glossy coat of Teal Blue paint, set off with sparkling chrome work, immaculate wire wheels, an exceptional interior, and topped off with a brand new hood. A restorable hard top also comes with the car.
The complete body restoration was carried out by Bodytech Services, Salisbury, at a ‘money no object’ cost of £5,244.72 (see photo of invoices), and the 1275cc engine has been upgraded with a performance tuned cylinder head, producing an impressive 100 plus hp (Dyno readout and invoices present).
An appreciating British classic, this sporty Midget is in lovely condition, is such a hoot to drive, and pulls like a train with a suitably raspy exhaust note to match - just in time for some summer fun!.
