1972 Fiat 500L

Highlights

  • Restored car in pretty Grigio over red
  • Original RHD UK car
  • Only seven registered keepers
  • Older restoration in great condition
  • Huge history file of 80+ paperwork
  • Current MOT to April 2025

The Appeal

There are other classic Fiat 500s but this one stands out for several reasons. Beyond the pretty Grigio over red colour scheme it is an original RHD, UK-market car - complete with MPH speedo - with just seven keepers in its 52 years.
It is also one of the last 500L ‘Lusso’ models built, restored to a good standard with considerable ongoing maintenance. There are over 80 individual invoices, records and receipts in the history file, including well regarded names like Ricambio and Profietti. Testament to the enthusiasm of its handful of keepers is a collection of old tax discs.
Recent work has included a carburettor overhaul, new chrome fittings and a set of smart hub caps to freshen up the cosmetics. The current condition is verified by a long MOT to April 2025. That is a further indication of the current keeper’s enthusiasm. As a Historic Vehicle the MOT is no longer a legal requirement.
This is a pretty, rare RHD 500 in great condition with bags of character.
