The Appeal
You'd have to be heartless to not be at least a little bit charmed by the Fiat 500. With its tiny wheelbase, pleasant proportions and easy, laid-back attitude, the 500 popularised the car across Europe. It was a no-frills, simple vehicle that was cost-effective.
When the executive class began voicing a wish for a little more comfort, the 500L arrived onto the market - slightly more trimmed with a separate dashboard and higher-class vinyl upholstery. These were perhaps even more popular than the base 500 - and continues to be highly clamoured for today.
This fine 1972 example is a handsome, long-cherished car - having been family-owned for half a century. During that time, it's been comprehensively serviced and very well kept. In 1993, it also had the pleasure of being restored by Jimmy Di Carlo, Fiat specialist and founder of the Fiat 500 Enthusiasts Club.
Over the course of its life, the only substantial modification it's seen has been the installation of seatbelts. It's always a pleasure to see a car so cherished by its owners - and we're sure it'll prove just as beloved in its next chapter.

However, the presence or absence of a label does not guarantee the vehicle’s status and it is always worthwhile carrying out your own full vehicle history check before making an offer on a vehicle.
