The Attractions
The SM was the result of a truly courageous project. Drawing on Maserati's experience in the production of sports cars, Citroën created a GT designed to beat the competition in every respect. And by combining unique styling with numerous technological innovations, in a way the SM succeeded in its purpose.
Its undeniable qualities made it unforgettable. The SM did not enjoy great sales success, but for modern collectors it is one of the most coveted sports cars of its generation.
These prestigious cars rarely appear on the market, and it is even rarer to come across examples with these characteristics. It has remained in the hands of the same owner since new and is in absolutely original condition. A further element of interest is its rare Blanc Meije colour - only 14 per cent of the SMs were produced in this colour - with a beautiful blue fabric interior. It is equipped with the 2.7-litre engine powered by three Weber carburettors.
Only 2,070 SMs were registered in Italy, and this is certainly one of the most original. Whether you decide to keep it in its current original condition or prefer to improve it slightly, it is a very attractive example of a historically significant sports car.

- The paintwork is in good condition with no obvious signs of damage or wear
- However, it shows some slight signs of age due to its originality
- Bodywork in good condition with well aligned panels and no visible traces of corrosion
- Underbody in good condition, as can be verified in the photographs
- Standard exterior including original badges and steel wheels with chrome wheel covers
- Exterior trim may show some slight signs of wear due to absolute originality
- Very well-preserved and unmodified interior with rich original equipment
- Front and rear seats upholstered in blue fabric in very good condition
- Interior shows some slight signs of ageing due to its original and unrestored condition, as shown in the photographs

- Interior trim, including switches and headlining, is well preserved and shows only light signs of wear
- Fitted with original Stereo 8 system
- Blue carpeting in good condition throughout the interior, as well as the grey carpet in the boot
