The Plus

Utilitarian, austere in the extreme - and yet still full of charm, the 2CV completely revolutionised Europe's relationship with the automobile. This unique relationship led to its adaptation in a variety of contexts, notably for farms and small businesses, which soon led to the introduction of the Fourgonnette - a utility version which, thanks to its long-travel suspension, proved ideal for transporting fruit, dairy products and perishable goods.

This distinctive rural character gives the Van an irresistible charm, and a fine example is much sought-after today. This 1972 model is just that, having benefited from an impressive restoration. It has known just three owners since leaving the factory and comes with an impressive history file.

We also check whether vehicles are registered as written off as part of a total loss at the time the advert is placed on Car & Classic and provide write-off category labels (Cat C/D/S/N) to help you. However, the presence or absence of a label does not guarantee the status of the vehicle and it is always worth carrying out a full vehicle history check before making an offer on it.
