The Plus
Triumph gave the name Spitfire to another car, but there's good reason to think the TR6 deserved it more. Rugged, brutally fast and aimed at enthusiastic drivers, it shared many qualities with the British plane.
This elegant TR6 is firmly in that spirit with its striking colour scheme, which incorporates a matte English green and Spitfire roundel, which complement the distinctive yellow paintwork well, a theme that continues inside with the suppressed black leather seats and door panels, accented in yellow.
The car spent its life in the USA - it's a twin carburettor car with the prefix 'CC' - before arriving in France. It has been well maintained and the vendor has taken care to improve it. He has recently added a new steering rack, overhauled the brakes, fitted an electric fan to improve cooling in hot weather and added a new roof.
The condition has been checked by a long term MOT, valid until December 2027. The car has recently been checked by the Club's local mechanic, including fluids, filters and levels. This car is perfect for summer touring and is sure to be the talk of the town.

Condition
- Very good looking car in bright yellow with matt green bonnet
- The paintwork is in very good condition with only minor marks visible on the photos
- These include some light cracking under the rear luggage rack
- The bodywork is in good condition with no corrosion on the sills or arches
- Doors, a common checkpoint on these cars, are tightly fitted, and the rear axle is aligned
- Bonnet repainted in matt green with British Royal Air Force decals and roundels
- The vendor points out a small dent in the bonnet, which is not visible at first glance
- Roof recently fitted in dark green to match the bonnet and marked watertight
- Mounted on original deep rim steel wheels with chrome hubcaps
- Chrome looks great with a bright finish and no obvious tarnish

- If your maximum bid is equal to or below the reserve price, your maximum bid will be applied in full if you are the highest bidder.
- If you are the highest bidder and place a maximum bid above the reserve, we will automatically put in the reserve as your first bid.

Automatically outbid immediately

Matching max bids
When there are two max bids of the same value, the one placed first remains the lead bidder.
Pre-authorisation
We may hold a pre-authorisation charge on your card until the end of the auction when the hold will be cancelled. If you win, we'll take a security deposit which counts towards the payment for the vehicle and isn't any extra cost to you.
