The Appeal
While car enthusiasts were busy hot rodding their four wheeled steeds, bikers were doing the same. Evocatively named Café Racers and built around the Ace scene, these modded bikes were as capable as they were stylish.
Triumph and Norton were the most popular bases for these potent Brighton-bound bikes. Alongside the official ‘Triton’ bikes, many were home built following the same make-do-and-improve ethos.
This striking Café Racer channels that history with its blend of T120 and T140V specification. It appears to have left the factory as the former but been latterly equipped with the 140’s 744cc engine and 5spd gearbox.
From its carefully detailed paintwork and bright chromework to its svelte bodywork, this gorgeous bike is a rare treat for enthusiasts of these iconic machines.
