1971 Triumph Bonneville T120

Highlights

  • Superb condition
  • Coming from a 20-year ownership
  • Dry ridden only

The Appeal

Launched in 1959, the Triumph Bonneville T120 was the first in the successful series of the Bonneville range, which is probably one of the most recognised names from the Triumph lineup. There were a few changes along the way for the Bonneville, such as an improved ignition system in 1967, but the most significant change of all was in 1971 with the introduction of the Oil-in-frame design.
This 1971 model has been cared for by the vendor for the past 20 years. Only riding the bike in the dry and keeping it in dry storage has kept the classic Triumph in the superb condition you see here. The bike has been well maintained with regular services carried out by the vendor, and no issues have been reported with the running or riding of the bike. The vendor is parting with the Triumph following a knee operation; the bike hasn’t been used in the past 12 months, and he feels it’s a shame to leave it sitting there unused when it's such a great bike to ride.

SUMMARY

The Triumph Bonneville was loved throughout the 60s and 70s, and still is today, with a more modern version available. But for those wanting the classic feel of the original Bonneville, then look no further than this 1971 example.
At 52 years old, the Triumph shows a small amount of patina which fits in with the age of the bike. It runs lovely and gives an excellent ride. What are you waiting for? Your classic British motorcycle is ready to go and waiting for you!
