The Appeal
Perhaps one of the most stylish, innovative cars of the 60s and 70s, the Scimitar GTE SE5 is a three-door shooting brake with sporty performance at its core - originating from a blueprint by Tom Karen of Ogle Design. It was a vastly different vehicle compared to the Scimitars that came before it - a sleek, versatile and roomy vehicle that was capable of appealing to just about everybody on the market.
Princess Anne was, of course, the most famous of the Scimitar drivers- but other iconic figures of the period who fell under the Scimitar spell include Noel Edmonds, David Nixon and Stuart Hall. Reliant's car was cool and against the grain while being eminently usable.

This particular example, finished in a rarely seen original green colour, has been meticulously maintained and kept garaged for the past five years. It boasts an extensive service history, regularly serviced by Scimitar specialists at Queens Road Garage in Kettering. It's not often we see these cars come to market, and this one is a superb opportunity.
