The Appeal
This stunning classic British sports car is a real delight. Great care has been taken to preserve the originality of this great motor and it has a brilliant patina to the interior. The seats have piping matched to the exterior which is a lovely touch, and really completes the feel of the car. Very tastefully restored and well cared for, this is a truly excellent example of a B GT.
The History and Paperwork

- The vendor has owned the vehicle since 1998
- Restored a few times over the years with the last major work carried out in 2014-2015 at a cost of £7,800
- Rarely used and stored in a dry garage
The Interior
- Black leather seats with green piping
- Glorious patina throughout and exceptional original feel
- Gear stick gaiter is torn at the top and the gear knob is twisted
- Some of the piping on the seats has seen better days however overall the seats are in great shape
- The patina and originality continues to the steering wheel which has some flecks of surface corrosion
- Around the gauges has started to beel and the chrome bezels have seen better days however this only adds to the character
- Everything works as it should including the overdrive
- Modern aftermarket radio fitted
- Overall a very nice original feeling interior
The Exterior
- Stunning paintwork finished in british racing green and resprayed in 2014/15
- Excellent condition with all of the brightwork complete and polished
- Light lenses are all clear and free of any major marks or blemishes
- Window glass is in fantastic shape and well cared for
- The brilliant original MG wheels really complete the look in silver on black and are wrapped with good tyres
- Overall a stunning exterior on this MGB GT
The Mechanics
- Starts and runs well
- Welding work underneath all carried out during 2014/15 restoration
- Totally original and unmodified
- Could do with a service as it has been stored and unused for a while
- Carburettors could do with tuning
- Brilliant patina on the rocker cover
- Some corrosion remains under the body, however it is solid due to the welding work carried out
Summary
This wonderful car has evidently been well cared for, and despite restoration has retained a fantastic original feel and a lovely patina to the interior. Very solid all round and an excellent vehicle to be enjoyed as is or very easily improved on and taken to an outstanding condition.
