Highlights
- One of just eighty believed to have been coachbuilt by Moretti
- Presented in very good, usable condition having been subject to an older restoration
- Italian road registered and ready to use
The Appeal
The ‘Spiaggine’ or ‘beach car’ was a curious phenomenon with various compact cars adapted for holiday destination transport. The Fiat and Renault-based ‘Jollys’, Citroën Méhari, Volkswagen Trekker and Mini Moke come to mind - but far rarer than all of these is the Moretti Minimaxi.
Believed to be one of fewer than eighty ever coachbuilt by Moretti, this Minimaxi is based upon the humble Fiat 500. Intended for use in narrow streets of warm coastal resorts, it would still make the ultimate holiday home accessory or quirky weekend classic. Italian road registered and ready to use, we’re sure that this rare car will be much coveted by collectors.
