Highlights
- 650 cm³ engine prepared by a former Abarth mechanic
- Presented in excellent condition
- Based on the particularly desirable 'R' model with fully synchronised gearbox
The Attractions
In addition to providing millions of people with an affordable four-wheeled means of transport, the Fiat 500 also gave birth to numerous high-performance variants, conceived by the brilliant designer and tuner Carlo Abarth. Power could be more than doubled thanks to the carefully tuned design, and the 595 was introduced in 1963.
Here we present a carefully crafted homage to the original 500 sports car, a replica based on a 1971 Fiat 500 R. We are told that this little Fiat, which uses the R's standard fully synchronised gearbox combined with a tuned 650 cm³ engine, has a very exciting performance. It presents itself as a very usable car and we were told that it is great fun to drive.
