Highlights
- Desirable T1 model
- 6.75-litre V8
- Very comprehensive history file
- Historic status – tax and MOT exempt
- Excellent restoration candidate
The Appeal
Based on the Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow – in fact, it’s identical but for the branding and front grille – the T1 is a very handsomely styled and well finished machine. Even by modern standards, they offer a delightfully cushioned and cosseting ride, with an elegant character and classical styling.
This example comes from a deceased estate and has been with the vendor since November 2022, since when they have serviced the car, overhauled the brakes and checked over the mechanicals. Reported to run and drive very well, with some attention to the bodywork and some new carpeting, this wonderful old luxury saloon would soon be fit for any circumstance. For anyone looking for a restoration candidate that just needs some cosmetic work, this would be a great prospect.

The Exterior
- Steel and aluminium monocoque construction

- There is some obvious corrosion to the rear arches that require attention

- The car sits on 15-inch wheels, which retain their polished covers and are shod in a matched set of Cooper white-band tyres
- A full-size spare wheel is stored under the boot
The Mechanics
- 6.75-litre naturally aspirated V8
- Automatic transmission
- Rear-wheel drive
- Power assisted steering
- Disc brakes all round
- Fully independent suspension, with automatic height control
- The vendor tells us they have serviced the car and carried out a full braking system overhaul
- We’re informed the car starts, runs and drives very nicely
Summary
