The Appeal
Until 1982, almost all SEAT cars were licence-built Fiat models, and the 600 was no exception. It became a pop culture icon, beloved of many Spaniards for whom it made car ownership accessible for the first time during the 1960s and '70s.
This charming 1970 example has been UK-registered since February 2023 and has undergone a light restoration. Unusually for a car of this vintage and type, this SEAT comes with a wealth of early service history. The file includes original registration documentation and no fewer than sixteen log stamps.
Registered as a historic vehicle, the SEAT is exempt from road tax and MOT and meets ULEZ standards. It'll be frugal to run and well-suited to narrow roads, so we can't help but think what a marvellous little city car this would make.
We're informed that it drives superbly, following a recent new clutch, and as the photographs show, it's a beautiful example.
