The Appeal

For those of a certain age, a quick glance at this evocative classic van will likely get you singing a certain ice-cream based tune. With its classic pink and white colour scheme it is a big slice of nostalgia. And that makes it an interesting commercial opportunity.
This is one of the vans built by leading ice cream van specialist, Whitby Morrison. Beneath the classic bodywork lies a Ford Transit Mk1 chassis and V4 petrol engine running gear.
It was all restored five years ago with a more recent respray.  The work retains the Morrison bodywork and interior, including the original ‘baby blue’ dash and cabin trim. The result is a van in very good condition which is ready to work. It sports appropriate decals.  They can be easily removed if required.
We are told that everything works, including the large freezers that can reach temperatures as low as -30 degrees. It also has its own generator.
Naturally it is MOT, tax and ULEZ exempt by age, reducing the running costs and increasing the scope of the commercial opportunity to include city centres.
This van is in good condition and will definitely stand out in the frozen treats market.
