Highlights
- Very well kept car

- Based on potent Triumph Vitesse running gear
- Nicely detailed with quality fittings
- Vintage style with classic performance
The Appeal
Mixing the vintage style and classic performance of two of British motoring’s best-loved marques was an inspired move. The resulting Gentry proved popular, its high-quality bodywork aping the classic MG TF while the running gear came from the Triumph Herald or more potent Vitesse.
Gentrys featured aluminium and fibreglass bodywork and were produced to high standards. This very well-kept car reflects that, its smartly trimmed interior being particularly appealing.
It is one of 80 built in 1979 and likely one of only a handful to use the Vitesse’s 6cyl 2litre power. The result is a high quality car that has clearly been carefully looked after by its owners. Enthusiasts of vintage-style cars searching for a car with a little more va-va-voom to keep up with modern traffic need look no further.
