The Attractions

Reflecting on the enormous importance of the Citroën DS in the evolution of the automobile concept, one almost feels a little saddened to realise that in fact there has probably never been a similarly ambitious and innovative car since. When it debuted in 1955, the DS represented an epoch-making leap forward and introduced such revolutionary innovations in terms of design, construction technique and technological solutions that its disruptive effect has never been equalled since.

This is why we are always particularly pleased to present one of Citroën's hydropneumatic masterpieces, such as this particularly practical and usable 1970 ID20/ DSuper.

Thanks to its particularly simple set-up with a four-speed manual gearbox, this is certainly one of the most usable versions in the entire DS range. The seller told us that this car is very efficient and pleasant to drive and that, very importantly, the hydraulic system works as it should. As can be seen in the photographs, this Citroën could benefit from some cosmetic work, but there do not seem to be any particularly major problems considering its age.

It is increasingly difficult to find a DS in good condition, so don't miss your chance to secure this charming French classic.
