The Appeal
The TD1B lightly improved on the TD1A 250cc production racer. Little change was required because the bike had been running rings around its competitors for years, particularly in the British 250 class.
This very pretty ‘68 TD1B is classically finished in red and white with green roundels. It was acquired by the current keeper’s partner in 1991 from well regarded specialist Bob Eva Racing of Cheltenham. Little is known of its history but it has been part of a private racing bike collection for many years, including the last 10 as a status display.
In great condition and well detailed, this bike could be lightly renovated for race use or preserved in your collection. The TD1B is a beautiful, evocative and devastatingly capable classic racer and this one represents a great opportunity to acquire one.
