The Appeal
If you want opulent classic motoring with a healthy dose of hand-crafted cossetting, then you want a Silver Shadow. Really, there is no alternative to Rolls-Royce’s original ‘owner-driver’ saloon.
The earliest cars like this one are the purest iteration of Crewe’s inspired vision, retaining early interior details and those lovely chrome features that make the Shadow such a handsome, neatly executed machine. This 1969 model was one of the last to feature the early 6.2L V8 that was carried over from the Silver Cloud. They are rare finds these days.
Classically finished in silver metallic with a well preserved burgundy leather interior, this is a great and very usable example of these majestic motors. It has been sparingly used by its handful of keepers. The car was in the same family until 2022 when the vendor acuired it and began a process of recommissioning using well regarded specialists.
It comes to market with a raft of recent maintenance by well regarded specialists like N Sandell and Flying Spares. Their work since 2022 has included servicing, exhaust, suspension and bodywork repairs, new fuel pump, speedometer repair and a full brake overhaul covering pads, discs and calipers.

With few miles covered since that work was completed, here is a chance for the buyer to benefit from the investment. The car is naturally MOT-exempt but usefully comes to market with a recently expired MOT test that contained no advisories.
