The plus
The Norton Commando needs no introduction. In his spare time - as much as he had - he ran his own workshop and one of his creations was the Gus Kuhn Commando.
These bikes benefited from his considerable knowledge. Intelligent detailed tuning increased performance and offered a wider powerband. The aesthetics were also modified to create a highly distinctive bike.
This beautiful Commando Gus Kuhn was delivered new to Madrid in 1969. It was rebuilt in Spain before being acquired by the vendor five years ago. He has recently refurbished the mechanicals, with a full restoration, new Amal 230 carburettors, adjusted valves and compression control. Full history file available, dating back to the early days of the bike.
The Commando is one of the icons of the classic motorbike world. Gus Kuhn's upgrades increase rarity, capability and, of course, appeal. This is a very high quality example.
