The Appeal
This 280 SE looks like a great example of a Mercedes W108, having been recently resprayed and received a long list of mechanical servicing and attention. It looks smart on the outside, and the interior is in lovely original condition, so the next owner will be able to make the decision as to whether the upholstery and carpets should be preserved or renewed.
Mercedes from this era have an excellent reputation for longevity, with examples performing sterling service as long-distance taxis for many decades in far-flung corners of the globe. The W108 is a solidly built and dependable car, which is known to keep on going.
This makes it the ideal candidate for use as a daily driver. Alternatively, its next keeper may decide to store it carefully for use on nice summer afternoons.
