The Appeal
Just before the advent of the Series III in 1971, the last of the Series IIA Land Rovers had their headlamps relocated to the outer wings to meet the requirements of certain markets and improve their effectiveness. To fill the void left by the headlamps in the valance panel, a new grille was devised, nicknamed the ‘Maltese Cross’ and these few vehicles produced between 1969 and 1971 are regarded as some of the best in Land Rover’s esteemed history.
Presented in very usable condition with a rich patina which always suits classic Land Rovers, this Series IIA has been a treasured part of the vendor’s extended family for three decades. We’re assured that it has been well-maintained and barn-stored, venturing out in the summer months only. Exempt from road tax and MOT testing, this Land Rover offers simple and carefree motoring, ideal for those seeking something fun to add to their garage.
