The Appeal
If Constable had painted his Hay Wain a century and a half later, there’d likely be a Series Land Rover parked in the foreground. Favoured by royalty, military and farmers alike, the unashamedly rugged Land Rover is a symbol of rural Britain and as such is celebrated as one of the most important cars of all time.
This 1969 Series IIA has been subjected to a comprehensive yet sensitive restoration which has kept its originality well and truly intact. Rebuilt upon a galvanised chassis, it should be quite resistant to the elements which is especially advantageous since you may wish to drive this Land Rover all year round. With around 10,000 miles covered on its rebuilt 2.25-litre petrol engine, all is now nicely run in and ready to enjoy.
