The Appeal
It’s the spirit of adventure which draws many to the Land Rover marque. At one point it was estimated over half the world’s population encountered a Land Rover before any other kind of motorised transportation, and it was cars like this Series IIA which dared to go where no car had ventured before.
Ordered new from Land Rover in expedition-ready overland specification, this Series IIA found its way to Algeria, spending the majority of its life there and Morocco, finally making its way back to its country of manufacture. It remains exceptionally original for its age and numbers matching. The most notable deviation from the standard was a colour change from Pastel Green to Limestone - carried out to better cope with desert temperatures.
Refurbished in 2016/17 and since forming part of a collection, a change of circumstances now forces its sale. If you’re looking for a classic Land Rover with genuine globe-trotting pedigree from new, this is an unmissable opportunity.
