The Attractions
Although the standard Fiat 500 is a surprisingly fun and agile car, there are endless ways to improve it. Ingenious and unforgettable technicians like Carlo Abarth understood its potential and turned it into a small sports car with great capabilities. This 1969 500 L was restored and improved with great measure and skill, leaving its timeless charm intact but improving its performance and driveability.
During the restoration, this 500 was completely disassembled, sandblasted and reassembled with the addition of numerous new parts and significant improvements. The 650 cm³ engine, taken from a Fiat 126, together with the fully synchronised gearbox and other work on the rear end, greatly enhance the car's performance, aided by adjustable front shock absorbers and front disc brakes.
The seller points out that the car comes with all original components, allowing it to be restored to factory specification if desired. If you are looking for an efficient and pleasant-to-drive classic 500, this is the right car for you.
